A while back some clever clogs at Apple decided that it would be a good idea for scrollbars to disappear when you weren’t using them. To save a few pixels perhaps. Personally I’m not a fan of dissapearing scrollbars. The good news is that you can turn them back on in your system preferences. To find out how see:
