There is a new v2.12.0 snapshot release with bug fixes and improvements:

  • Fixed issue related to copying and pasting Note items.
  • Fixed issue related to copying and pasting Chart items.
  • Fixed issue with creating loop command for Excel files on Mac using Command Line window.
  • Select All now selects all connections as well as items.
  • Improved batch reporting.
  • Better handling on non-date values for Charts items with a date X axis.
  • Fixed issue with Duplicate Branch for Chart items.

Thanks to @Olaf for detailed reporting several of the above issues.

You can download the snapshot release here:

Mac: https://www.easydatatransform.com/downloads/EasyDataTransform_2_12_0_snapshot_3.dmg

As a snapshot release, it isn’t as thoroughly tested as a production release, but it should be fairly stable. Please reply to this post if you have any issues, suggestions or questions related to this release.

C&P with note items is o.k. now
Command line mode with loops is o.k.
Select All and past works for me
The summary in log information we discussed offline is fine, too

But the C&P with chart items still doesn’t work. The connections to the chart items are still lost.

From the image it looks like you didn’t select the connection from the Filter transform to the charts, so it won’t be copied.

o.k. got it. When I marked boxed before I did it with the lot mouse button clicked and marked the connections with it. But for the chart ones I add them with the Command Button clicked and the connects were not marked and therefore copied.
Tried it again with marking the connections, it works. Thanks for the explanation

I have changed the behaviour to be a bit more consistent.

  • Select All use to select only nodes. Now it selects all nodes and all connections.
  • Copy used to copy selected nodes and their connections (whether the connections are selected or not). Now it only copies select nodes and selected connections.

Often it is better to left click drag a box to select a group of items, rather than selecting them one-by-one (if it is a contiguous group).
