FYI to all if anyone else runs into this issue -
Had an issue yesterday with Windows 10 Pro and Norton 360 where Norton blocked EDT from writing to an Excel file. Text files seemed to be OK but not Excel.
Was able to get it to work by going to Norton Antivirus settings and adding EDT to the exclusions - shown in the screenshot below.

I recommend you only install Easy Data Transform from https://www.easydatatransform.com, so you can be sure it hasn’t been tampered with. Some sites are known to add malware to legitimate downloads.
But every now and our (and other legitimate) software gets a false positive from one of the anti-virus vendors.
If you are ever unsure about the provenance of a Easy Data Transform install, check that is is digitally signed by us (Oryx Digital Ltd). You can also scan for viruses on virustotal.com .
