This is Easy Data Transform v2.9.0 on the new macOS 26:
As you can see, it looks pretty much identical to Easy Data Transform on macOS 15.
At some point we may redesign the icon to follow the new guidelines. But we aren’t terribly impressed with the new ‘glass’ look and won’t be rushing to add loads of transparency effects. We don’t feel they help with usability.
If you spot any issues on macOS 26, please let us know.
I use a functional hot black and for now am quite happy with it without further adornment or transparency. I have upgraded to MacOS 26, though still eschewing the lower case m, and will see whether fiddling with the look of some Mac apps changes my mind on visual aspects.
The Easy Data Transform application looks ok in macOS 26 if you set application icons to ‘default’ and the application is running. Otherwise it is nearly black.

After pretty much a whole day ready through sketchy documentation and employing the services of a designer, we have managed to get the icon compatible with the new ‘liquid glass’ UI. It now looks like one of these, depending on the Appearance>Icon & widget style chosen:
You can choose your preferred icon style in Mac System Preferences.
This fix will be in the next release.
I like the new design on my iPhone but am pretty neutral to it on the Mac. Because of the transparency I already thought I have some dirt on my screen😅
Good that you fixed the App Icon. That‘s pretty prominent…
I don‘t think it is very important for EDT to follow the design rules for it‘s own sake. Readability and usability is far more important. On the other hand I see the advantage of a common look and feel for a system - every time I have to do something with a Microsoft program on my Mac. So from a users point of view there is something in it if programs follow the design rules.

We will always prioritise usability and performance over flashy design. We do try and follow the platform design guidelines and customs as much as we can. But we also want Easy Data Transform to be similar between Mac and Windows, so there is always an element of compromise.
