Making a soft landing for first time users

Hello, Coming from Excel UI, I remember I was a bit confused with the commands, like what is the EDT equivalent of =XLOOKUP() ?
Today, it is the opposite, now my =JOIN(), =STACK() lead to #NAME? in Excel, haha X-D
=> Offering a comparison table “In Excel = … / In EDT = …” would help, I guess :slight_smile:

We have tried to include some Excel function names in the keyword lookup in the left pane. However there generally isn’t a 1:1 correspondence between Easy Data Transform transforms and Excel functions.

Me too… I was a young guy connecting to Mailboxes back than… when at some point I had a connection that did not have the usuall ascii graphics menus.
It was a Unix Terminal. Boy that was different… I learned about Gopher and Ftp by Mail and Usenet.
It was still a year or two until Mosaic was the first browser…

Perhaps a guided tour could be a help for first time users?

Where the wizard shows you the main areas of the programm explaining key concepts and makes you use the tool for the first time?

Many programs have this these days. It autostarts on the first usage of the program. You can follow or dicard it and usually call it up again from the help menu
