A question about automatic placement of items in the Center pane. If a new transform is placed:
Should the default position be:
A typewriter style (trying to keep the aspect ratio of the layout):
Or:
B to the right:
Which do you prefer?
I prefer B.
Sometimes it gets big, but I think it is easier to follow the process.

prefer B, too. Specially in case of joins it is easier to identify the inputs.

In case it is easy to rewrap manually.
For smaller transform sets an auto wrap (to be called at the discretion of the user) may be of help.

The automatic placement has been changed to option B in the new snapshot. Please try it and let us know what you think.
